The benefits of a multi-party recognition scheme between cloud security certifications translate into every language. Thanks to Rastislav Neczli, the EU-SEC’s multiparty recognition approach to cloud security services was recently presented to the Slovak government as part of the onboarding of cloud services.

About the Multi-Party Recognition Framework

The EU-SEC Consortium is developing a framework that innovates the existing compliance and assurance landscape by creating and testing a multiparty recognition approach between existing cloud security certification and attestation schemes.

The framework will provide ICT-stakeholders with a validated governance structure, a tailored architecture, and the corresponding set of tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their current approach to security governance, risk management, assurance and compliance in the Cloud.

About The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic (MFSR) is a central body of state administration responsible for the areas of finance, taxes and fees, customs, financial control, internal audit and government audit. The administration is involved in the government-wide adoption of cloud services, and the output of the EU-SEC project will be used to verify cloud services included in the G-Cloud catalogue. MFSR has been heavily involved in the large-scale pilot scheme, which was designed to test the results of the EU-SEC framework.

What’s next?

One of the main findings of the pilot was that for the EU-SEC framework provides significant potential to reduce the effort and resources needed to achieve multiple certifications. A series of workshops and webinars is planned to raise awareness of the business benefits of the framework and promote its uptake in the cloud services community.
