We were delighted that EU-SEC was recently selected as the Cyberwatching Project of the Week, giving the consortium the chance to showcase its activities on security and privacy.

Cyberwatching.eu is the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy. Among other services, they compile a catalogue of projects and initiatives addressing cybersecuri-ty & privacy challenges, delivering a comprehensive overview of what is going on in this domain Europe-with Europe, and tools to showcase projects results to a broad audience. They also have built a cybersecuri-ty and privacy marketplace service offer to connect users and service providers in the European Single Market.

EU-SEC’s innovations will help cloud customers to make informed decisions about their choice of Cloud Service Provider. Continuous auditing delivers an enhancement to traditional certification by using tech-nology to monitor and flag noncompliant activity on an ongoing basis. It therefore provides a higher level of transparency, assurance and security for end users than traditional certification. Knowing that a CSP ad-heres to the EU-SEC Privacy Code of Conduct is a sure way for the end user to know that a CSP is correct-ly processing personal data. Finally, the multiparty recognition approach leverages new auditing services allowing more efficient cloud security certifications, especially for SMEs and public administrations.
