The German IT Security Congress, which the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) organises every two years, is a key fixture in the events calendar of the IT security industry. Over three days, the participants discuss the state of national and international IT security developments. The aim of the congress is to shed light on the subject of IT security from different perspectives, to present and further develop solutions.

This year, Dorian Knoblauch, scientist at Fraunhofer Fokus and member of the EU-SEC consortium, gave a talk on Continuous auditing-based Certification at the 16th Congress on 23rd May 2019. This was the first event where prior pilot results and the EU-SEC audit API was presented. The idea of continuously providing assurance on the fulfilment of cloud security standards was well received by the audience.
