About the event

The Automotive Innovation Summit 2018 unites industry leaders, experts, CxOs, OEMs and suppliers. The huge changes imposed on the car industry by environmental legislation are forcing companies to turn to innovative solutions to stay competitive. This year’s event therefore focussed on issues such as AI, Autonomous Mobility, Big Data, 5G, and Automotive Security, judged to be the future trends in the automotive industry.

EU-SEC involvement

Jürgen Grossman, Senior Scientist and Project Manager from Fraunhofer Fokus as well as Project Coordinator for EU-SEC, presented a keynote speech entitled “EU-SEC – The European Certification Framework”. In his presentation, he introduced the main concepts, principles, and objectives of the EU-SEC Framework. He explained the work on Multi-Party Recognition as well as Continuous Auditing Based Certification and highlighted their significance for the European automotive industry. This event provided great exposure for the project and gave the opportunity to explain the benefits to an audience of industry-leaders, car manufacturers, suppliers, experts and entrepreneurs.

The research institute explores how communication networks will contribute to a more secure and convenient living environment. Fraunhofer FOKUS is project coordinator and scientific partner for the specification and development of the Continuous Auditing Certification Scheme.
